Back in April, Dale Earnhardt Jr. clinched his sixth career victory at the massive 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway, virtually punching his ticket for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. A couple months later, the sport’s most popular driver notched his second win of the season over the July 4th weekend, all but locking up his spot in the postseason. With Dale Jr.’s spot in the Chase pretty much guaranteed, his No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet will undergo several changes that identify him as a Chase contender. The alterations to his car include a yellow front splitter, yellow rear spoiler, yellow windshield banner, special NASCAR Sprint Cup Series logo and Contender logo.
