With five laps remaining in the season-ending Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kyle Larson darted to the front of the field. He held onto the lead for the remainder of the race. Larson, driving the No. 42 Crest Chevrolet Camaro, led six times for a
race-high 118 laps. The win was the California native’s third career win in the NASCAR XFINITY Series and his first of 2015. Although Larson was not eligible for championship points in NASCAR’s second series, the experience on the track proved invaluable as he was in contention to win Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
