In addition to his wins, the member of the Alabama Gang posted 83 top fives, 156 top 10s and 20 poles. Bonnett drove the No. 12 Armor All Chevrolet Laguna in the first four races he started in 1976. His best performance in the white, black, orange and yellow car came in that years DAYTONA 500, where he finished fifth. He also scored an eighth-place finish at Atlanta in the sixth race of the season; however, after the ninth race, Bonnett and Armor All split up but were reunited for the 1978 season.
